Terms of Service

By accessing or using the U-CTF platform ("Service"), operated by UCTF ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

U-CTF is a managed Capture The Flag as a Service (CTFaaS) platform that provides Kubernetes-hosted infrastructure, CTFd instance management, theme and plugin uploads, and shared or instanced challenge deployment for cybersecurity competitions.

You must authenticate via GitHub OAuth to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must not share your credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• Host or distribute malicious software outside the scope of legitimate CTF challenges.
• Launch attacks or scans against systems not explicitly part of your CTF competition.
• Store or transmit illegal content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service.

You retain ownership of all challenges, themes, plugins, and content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to host and serve that content as necessary to operate the Service.

We retain all rights to the U-CTF platform, its design, code, and documentation.

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the rate displayed at checkout.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the current billing period, calculated from the date of cancellation to the end of the period. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days.

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in your selected offer or plan, we do not guarantee any specific level of compute, memory, storage, or network resources.

Resource allocations, performance characteristics, and availability targets are defined solely by the terms of the offer you subscribe to. Any guarantees described in a specific offer apply only to subscribers of that offer and supersede this general clause to the extent they conflict.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability, and will endeavor to provide reasonable advance notice when possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UCTF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We will make your data available for export for a reasonable period following termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
